Bristol City Council may be able to help!
Is your boiler broken or your roof leaking? Are your electrics exhausted or your plumbing problematic? For essential home repairs, a loan funded by Bristol City Council and administered by Wessex Resolutions CIC could help you spread the cost of home repairs but gain the benefits right away.
Hot off the press is a new £1,000 loan reduction scheme for eligible applicants & eligible works*. This means that if the works to your home are going to cost £3000, you may only need to borrow £2000.
“I am so grateful for this help. It’s taken a huge weight off my mind!” Mr Y, Bristol
Typical example of repayments
Interest is fixed at a rate of 4% throughout the loan (Typical 4.2% APR).
|Cost of works||Amount borrowed||Number of monthly repayments||Amount of monthly repayments||Total fees payable (Land Registry Fee)||Total amount payable|
This is an illustration of a capital repayment loan only. An adviser will visit you to complete a financial assessment. There are other loan products available subject to your financial circumstances and eligibility.
Works eligible for a loan are assessed by West of England Care and Repair and they administer the technical aspect of the scheme.
*People borrowing less than £2,000 will be entitled to 50% off. Eligible groups include homeowners over 60; homeowners in receipt of means tested benefit; homeowners in receipt of a long term disability benefit and homeowners with children under 16.
